Affiliate Summit announced today an agreement with TaxBrain.com, the primary sponsor of Justin Philpott Racing, to become an associate sponsor for their NASCAR 2007 Whelen All American Series entry.
Justin Philpott Racing will be fielding two cars this season featuring veteran driver David Philpott and the 17 year old, rising-star Justin Philpott.
Justin Philpott Named “Rookie of the Year 2006″ in the final season of the legendary Stockton 99 Speedway
On November 18, the three-generation family racing team received awards, accolades and a new sponsorship commitment at a gala event in Modesto, California, hosted by the Altamont Motorsports Park and Stockton 99 Speedway. The evening was capped with the 2006 Rookie of the Year Award from Stockton 99 Speedway going to young Justin.
At the end of the award festivities on November 18, NASCAR Vice President Jim Hunter announced a new title sponsor for the series beginning in 2007.
Whelen Engineering, a Connecticut-based manufacturer of emergency lighting and warning systems, will become the title sponsor of the series, which will be re-named as the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series. It was formerly known as the Dodge Weekly Series.
