Affiliate Summit was truly amazing. It sold out and there were over 500 people there and over 200 on the waiting list. My guess is next year they could hit 1,000!
Virtually every CPA network, affiliate provider, guru, superaffiliate, etc. was there.
I came back with more than 100 business cards and got a chance to have in depth discussions with superaffiliates, technology providers, networks, affiliate managers, and old friends.
The sessions were interesting and valuable, and there were a few times I had trouble deciding which one to attend since this year they had parallel tracks.
For me, the most valuable sessions dealt with search engines. There were two separate opportunities to hear from speakers about what really is working.
One session let me ask whatever questions I wanted and he would answer. The information I was able to get will hopefully help me improve our own sites enough to pay for the conference fee in a few months.
The organizers (Shawn and Missy) need a bit of time to take a well deserved break after pulling this off, but they have already started thinking about next year.
They will survey participants and get plans running based on feedback from those who attended. They did this last time and made the event better, so all I can say is get ready for next year and plan to attend.
